New Format!

Unleash your imagination in this exciting middle school creative writing class! Students will explore the art of storytelling through a variety of genres, including fiction, poetry, and personal narratives. Through fun prompts, guided exercises, and peer feedback, young writers will develop their unique voices and learn essential storytelling techniques such as character development, plot structure, vivid description, and dialogue. They will also study the techniques their own favorite authors use to make their stories come alive.

Duration: Year long

Materials: Students should always be prepared to write during class, with a notebook and pen/pencil. Students will need a binder or folder for writing projects.

Homework: 30 minutes to an hour a week, unless the student chooses to spend more time.

One-time additional fee: $20
