This is an introductory writing class using IEW’s Structure and Style method. Using IEW’s “Fables, Myths and Fairy Tales,” students will learn how to take notes, retell stories, summarize references, write from pictures, and compose their own myths or fairy tales. Students will also learn how to use a checklist to edit their own work.

Grades: 3-6

Duration: Year Long

Materials: IEW’s Fables, Myths, and Fairy Tales Student Book; a pen/pencil, and a binder to keep papers.

Homework: Students can expect weekly homework. This class will need some parent/guardian input at home.
