Discover the fascinating world of chemistry through hands-on activities and engaging demonstrations! In this class, students will explore the basic building blocks of matter, learn about atoms, molecules, and chemical reactions, and see how chemistry influences our everyday lives. With a focus on fun and safe activities, students will investigate concepts like states of matter, mixtures, acids and bases, and simple chemical reactions. Students will fill in and study the elements in a chronological  manner, compiling their own table/timeline of discovery as well as adding to their lab book.  The focus is introducing basic chemistry concepts through interactive learning in order to spark curiosity and build a strong foundation in science!

Grades: 5^th-8^th

Duration: Year-long

Materials Needed: Pencils, markers, colored pencils, scissors, glue stick

Additional One-Time Material Fee: $50 

Monthly Class Fee: $60/mo

Homework:  This is a primarily hands-on experience class and will require no regular homework. Students may be expected to create one or two culminating projects that they learned throughout the year.
