ASL Café is a 26-week American Sign Language experience where students learn ASL through hands-on communication, role-play, themed café days, and real-world conversational practice. This lively class blends language learning with creativity as students design and run a mock café, take “orders,” create menus, host themed events, and practice signing in fun, low-pressure ways.
Throughout the year, students build a strong foundation in ASL vocabulary, grammar, and Deaf culture while developing confidence in expressive and receptive signing. Each week introduces a new set of signs connected to meaningful themes—food & drinks, emotions, directions, time, describing people, storytelling, and more.
