Description: In this introductory course, students will begin to build a foundational understanding of the Spanish language through interactive activities, including question-and-response exercises, songs, and engaging games. They will expand their conversational vocabulary, focusing on practical communication skills. Emphasizing both language acquisition and academic preparation, students will develop organizational and note-taking strategies that will serve them in high school and beyond. Each semester, students will apply their learning through a digital presentation, showcasing their growing proficiency in Spanish and their ability to communicate effectively. Students that complete this class may move onto Intro to Spanish Year 2, Spanish 1A, or Spanish 1, when age appropriate.

Materials Needed: Tabbed 3-ring binder, internet access for weekly digital study tools; colorful, engaging weekly homework packets are provided.
