Music comes alive in Do-Re-Move!, a playful and engaging class where young learners explore sound through singing, movement, and hands-on discovery. Each week, students dive into rhythm, melody, and pitch through action songs, fingerplays, poems, and instrument play, making music a full-body, multi-sensory adventure.
What to expect:
- Sing & Sign: Learn songs using solfège (do-re-mi) and American Sign Language (ASL).
- Move to the Music: Explore beat, rhythm, and musical patterns through creative movement, action songs, and fun musical games.
- Hands-On Music: Play melodies on the glockenspiel, manipulate classroom instruments, and engage with rhythm through fingerplays and poems.
What you’ll learn:
- How to read simple rhythms and melodies
- How pitch moves up and down through singing, signing, and playing
- Listening skills, coordination, and musical confidence
