Public speaking

Everyone communicates, but few people genuinely connect. This dynamic and practical course equips high school students with the confidence and skills to communicate effectively in academic, professional, and everyday settings. Students will develop strong conversation skills, master interview techniques, and learn how to design and deliver compelling presentations and speeches.

Throughout the course, students will explore the full speech process—from idea generation and audience analysis to content development, organization, and structure. Emphasis is placed on crafting clear messages with strong openings, logical flow, and memorable conclusions. Students will practice presentation skills including confident body language, purposeful movement, effective eye contact, and vocal modulation to enhance clarity and impact.

We will also address authenticity and emotional preparation, helping students manage nerves, build stage presence, and speak with confidence and credibility. Students will learn strategies for handling Q&A sessions thoughtfully and professionally, thinking on their feet while maintaining composure. Through interactive activities, peer feedback, and structured practice, students will leave the course prepared to speak clearly, confidently, and persuasively in classrooms, interviews, and beyond.
